2027:Group gives APC passmark on Atuma’s victory APC Standard-bearer for Abia Central Senatorial District

Progressive Abia Youths for Good Governance (PAYG), a pro-democracy and advocacy group, has lauded the successful conduct of APC senatorial primary election for Abia. central senatorial district.

Recall that the just-concluded APC senatorial primaries for Abia central district elected a former member of the house of representatives, Hon Emeka Atuma, as the standard bearer of the party in next year’s main elections in Abia and many other states of the federation.

However, Progressive Abia Youths for Good Governance (PAYG) whose membership is drawn from the seventeen(17) local government areas chapters of the APC, in a statement issued on Tuesday in Umuahia, congratulated Rt Hon Emeka Atuma on his emergence as the Abia central senatorial candidate of the APC in the 2027 main elections in the country.
The statement by the socio-political group was signed by the President, Surveyor Samuel Aguiyi and Secretary General, Comrade Chinedu Emeruwa.
Progressive Abia Youths for Good Governance (PAYG) described Rt Hon Emeka Atuma’s victory as a clear reflection of his popularity, grassroots political structure, and the confidence reposed in him by APC members across the Abia central senatorial district.
“We congratulate Rt Hon Emeka Atuma on this well-deserved victory. The outcome of the primary election clearly shows that the people of Abia central still believe strongly in his leadership, empowerment programmes, and developmental projects
The pan-Abia youth organization further commended party members for conducting themselves peacefully during the primary exercise and urged all APC stakeholders in Abia central zone to unite behind Rt Hon Emeka Atuma ahead of the 2027 National Assembly elections.
Progressive Abia Youths for Good Governance (PAYG) also recalled and lauded Hon Emeka Atuma’s performance in office as then member of the house of the house of representatives, citing his interventions in road infrastructure, rural electrification, education, youth empowerment, agriculture, and industrial development across Abia central senatorial zone.
According to the group, Hon Atuma’s achievements and political experience place him in a strong position ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Progressive Abia Youths for Good Governance (PAYG) reiterated its total confidence in the capacity of Rt Hon Emeka Atuma towards ensuring effective and efficient representation of Abia central senatorial district when elected as next Senator of the federal Republic of Nigeria next year.
“There are no doubts that Rt Hon Emeka Atuma will initiate development-oriented bills and make good laws to strengthen statutory institutions of democratic governance in Nigeria. As a leader with enormous capacity and contacts, would attract and ensure critical government ‘s projects are executed across Abia central zone. Progressive Abia Youths for Good Governance (PAYG), therefore pledged to rally bulk votes from electorates in ensuring the victory of Rt Hon Emeka Atuma as next Senator representing Abia central senatorial district at the red chamber of the national assembly in 2027.
