NASS 2027: Abia Group commends NDC NEC on Godswill Ubani’s candidacy

Forum of Abia Democrats (FABD), has commended the leadership of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for upholding the people’s mandate and internal democracy within the party in fielding Hon Engr. Godswill Ubani.

The forum whose membership is drawn from the seventeen(17) local government areas of Abia State, appreciated party members for the overwhelming support given to Engr. Godswill Ubani during the party house of representatives primaries held for Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency seat.

Forum of Abia Democrats (FABD) made the commendation in a press release made available to newsmen on Thursday in Umuahia, the Abia State capital.

The release by the forum was signed by the Chairman, Surveyor Samuel Aguiyi and Secretary-General, Amb Chinedu Emereuwa.

While commending the party leadership for considering competence and grassroots acceptance in arriving at its decision on ikwuano/umuahia federal constituency seat ticket, the forum described Engr Godswill Ubani as the best man for the plum legislative job, having demonstrated capacity then as a member of the house of representatives.

According to the forum, “the confidence and widespread acceptance of Engr. Godswill Ubani enjoys among the electorates in Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency will turn into electoral victory for NDC in next year’s general election.

Forum of Abia Democrats (FABD) described Engr. Godswill Ubani’s emergence as the NDC house of representatives candidate for Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency as the begining of a new chapter of progress and purposeful leadership in Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency

“We believe Engr Godswill Ubani has the wherewithal to drive development and uplift rural communities in Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency , through the attractions of meaningful infrastructural projects and provision of essential amenities across the federal constituency when chosen in the coming election as next member representing ikwuano/umuahia federal constituency.

“Aside from attracting essential socio-economic and infrastructural projects, it is not in doubt Engr. Godswill Ubani will make a difference by sponsoring resulted -oriented motions and impactful bills, and make development-oriented laws which will strength all relevant institutions of democratic governance in Nigeria when elected into the green chamber of the national assembly.

The southeast forum therefore pledged to deliver bulk votes to NDC to ensure the victory and emergence of Engr. Godswill Ubani as the member representing ikwuano/umuahia federal constituency at the green legislative chamber of the national assembly come next year’s elections in Abia state.
