Ohafia South Constituency: Mba Nwokeoma (Etiokwe) cleared as LP Candidate for 2027 elections

Wednesday, 20th May 2026, marks a pivotal moment for the political landscape of Ohafia South as Hon. Kalu Mba Nwoke (Etiokwe), the incumbent lawmaker representing Ohafia South State Constituency, was officially screened and cleared by the Labour Party State Working Committee. With this clearance, he stands as the party’s sole candidate for the upcoming House of Assembly election.

Hon Nwoke, described the screening as both efficient and transparent, highlighting the internal stability and organizational focus currently defining the Labour Party in Abia State. By achieving a consensus and a seamless selection process, the party has positioned itself to focus its resources and energy on the broader goals of legislative continuity and constituency development.
He further expressed his gratitude toward the State Working Committee for their dedication and professionalism.
