Abia 2027 elections: Party Chieftain, Gospel Opurum picks NDC nomination forms for State Assembly seat

Ahead of the forthcoming 2027 polls in Abia State, Party Chieftain, Amb Gospel Chinecherem Opurum, has picked the expression of interest and nomination form of Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), seeking election into the Abia State House of Assembly to represent ukwa West constituency.

Ambassador Gospel Opurum flanked by by party stakeholder from ukwa West local government area, picked his nomination forms at the Abia Secretriate of the NDC in Umuahia, the state capital.

Speaking on Monday shortly after collection of expression of interest and nomination forms at State party Secretriate, Umuahia, Amb. Gospel Chinecherem Opurum

reiterated that his commitment to the human, socio-economic and infrastructural development of ukwa West constituency and Abia State.

He promised to render effective and people’s-oriented representation when elected into the state legislative chamber come next year.

The frontline Abia Assembly aspirant maintained that Ukwa West state constituency had not fared better in legislative governance and added that the people from the constituency yearns for true democratic representation that would foster socio-economic and infrastructural development in ukwa West constituency.

Amb. Opurum reiterated his commitment to make impactful and development-oriented laws that will solidify every statutory institutions of democratic governance in the State for service delivery and efficiency when supported to emerge as lawmaker.

He boasted that he would make a difference by ensuring proper representation Ukwa West constituency in Abia state House of Assembly that will engender human capital projects towards developing the area when elected into the state hallowed legislative house come 2027.
