Abia youths blows hot, carpets Uche Ogah over attacks on foremost religious leader, Prophet Ukauwa

A pro-democracy and advocacy group, Abia Progressive Youths For Better Society (APYBS) has taken a swipe at the fifth columnists and their paymaster and 2019 gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia state, Uche Ogah over recent vituperations on foremost religious leader and founder of Information Rhema Power Synagogue International Church, Port-Harcourt, Rivers State, Prophet Godspower Chibuike Ukauwa.

This followed a recent vituperative comments by Ogah’s supporters who took to social media handles and lampooned Prophet Ukauwa over his recent allegation of betrayals levelled on the ex-minister of state for mines and steel development.

Recall that Prophet Ukauwa had last week blasted Ogah and accused him of betraying the APC in Abia state for selfish personal gains during the concluded 2019 governorship election.

The cleric, who was also a former APC governorship aspirant, also disclosed that he withdrew from the party’s primary to allow Uche Ogah emerged as candidate for the concluded 2019 polls held in Abia by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Reacting, Ogah’s camp dismissed Prophet Ukauwa’s claims as a cheap lies from pit of hell and described the latter as a hungry man seeking for undeserved attentions.

The Abia Progressive Youths for Better Society (APYBS), while taking swipes at the former minister’s camp, in a statement signed by the President, Surveyor Samuel Aguiyi and Secretary-General, Comrade Beatrice Ukpai-Agwu, made available to newsmen on Friday, reminded Uche Ogah and his hirelings that Prophet Godspower Chibuike Ukauwa’s ascendency on earth is one marked by God’s divine blessings, grace, and wisdoms which no immortal can washed away.

The group told them that these God-endowed qualities embolded by Prophet Godspower Chibuike Ukauwa distinguished him as one of the finest ordained preachers of gospel of Christ, which translated to expansion of Information Rhema Synagogue International Church in Nigeria, including ongoing efforts to also expand the church across the Africa continent and the globe.

The group informed the critics that Prophet Godspower Chibuike Ukauwa has translated his God-endowed blessings and grace to engender human empowerment and development in the society, disclosing that the foremost cleric has sponsored many average Abian and non indigent Abia citizens in skill acquisition and training programs, wherein they were supported to set up their own businesses and became self-reliant and productive to the larger society.

According to the group, “It’s equally on record that Prophet Godspower Chibuike Ukauwa has payrolled and trained many average citizens in different institutions of learning across the country into becoming graduates with some of them employed, and employed in corporate organizations and government’s ministries, departments and agencies,and as well owed productive business ventures across the country.

“This perfect gentleman of God, Prophet Godspower Chibuike Ukauwa equally provided ordinary populaces across Abia shores and beyond free access to healthcare treatments under his humanitarian foundation’s health support programs rolled out especially for older men and women in local communities across Abia state and southeast region.

“Towards fostering peace and harmony in local communities in Abia state and complementing collective efforts of well-meaning stakeholders to end restiveness mostly associated with youths in Nigeria society, Prophet Godspower Chibuike Ukauwa demonstrated hid God-ordained calling and wisdoms, initiated and sponsored football tournament for youths in Abia local communities wherein the winner, and other participated communities goes home with trophy and cash. And not only the community that won the football tournament is awarded trophy, best and skillful players are graciously hunted and bought to play for higher football clubs. This particular gesture by Prophet Godspower Chibuike Ukauwa engendered unity among youths, as well brought peace and progress in many local communities in Abia today.

While further frowning at the description of Prophet Godspower Ukauwa as a ‘hungry man’seeking for help and cheap relevance by Ogah’s camp, Abia Progressive Youths for Better Society, reminded the critics once again that these exceptional benevolent gestures by this God’s servant were personal proceeds from his legitimate private businesses, not proceeds from taxpayers money or looted funds commonly used by majority of corrupt individuals in sponsoring humanitarian activities for personal selfish gains.

“These laudable humanitarian services and many others not mentioned, carried out by Prophet Godspower Chibuike Ukauwa were achieved and still sustained, before his entry in the murky water of Abia politics in 2019.

While then as a politician and a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia state before his exit from partisan politics, the organization explained that it is on record that Prophet Godspower Chibuike Ukauwa’s stint in APC boasted the membership of the party in Abia state chapter before his exit from active partisan politics

According to the southeast group, “It should be noted that Prophet Godspower Chibuike Ukauwa never abandoned APC after his withdrawal from the 2019 governorship race as displayed commonly by some contestants or politicians. Prophet Ukauwa shown unwavering commitment and threw his full weights behind the APC to the formal conclusion of party campaigns and main elections held across Abia state for the then elections.

“It’s equally historical that Prophet Ukauwa’s political relevance also led to acceptability and popularity of APC among larger populace in Abia state and beyond, as the progressive party has emerged as a formidable force or party to reckon with now in Abia state. This distinguished Nigerian, Prophet Godspower Chibuike Ukauwa, with few loyal party members funded and ensured the party get its own functional state office/secretariat. Records are there that Prophet Ukauwa, on personal capacity, injected over 500 million naria in engendering current growth of APC in Abia. Prophet Ukauwa injected huge money in rallying supports for former President Muhammadu Buhari’s reelection, then APC governorship candidate in Abia state during 2019 election, Uche Simpson Ogah, Senator Orji Uzor- Kalu, and rest of others. He sponsored campaigns and rallies of some state house of assembly candidates of APC during 2019 polls in the state”

The Abia Progressive Youths for Better Society reiterated its stand and attributed the poor performance recorded by APC during last 2019 and 2023 elections in Abia to treacherous attitudes displayed by then party governorship flagbearer,Uche Ogah, and other notable party leaders.

The organization called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to prevail on the former minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Uche Sampson Ogah to comply with terms of agreements he entered with Prophet Godspower Chibuike Ukauwa following his withdrawal from Abia APC governorship race, and pay Prophet Ukauwa all financial entitlements as signed and agreed also.

The socio-political youth group commended the Abia-born cleric and Founder of Information Rhema Power Synagogue Ministry, Prophet Godspower Chibuike Ukauwa for his active role in enthroning the current people’s -oriented government in Abia state during the concluded 2023 elections.

Abia Progressive Youths for Better Society, urged the general public to disregard cheap falsehoods being peddled against Prophet Godspower Chibuike Ukauwa by
disgruntled elements in section of online media, reminding critics that Prophet Godspower Chibuike Ukauwa is too busy and occupied with activities in God’s vineyard, especially in saving and winning more souls for Almighty God in heaven.

“He can’t be deterred in speaking truths to the powers that be. Prophet Godspower Chibuike Ukauwa cannot be blackmailed on his several calls for just, fair and equitable Abia and Nigeria society”,the group maintained.
