2027: Southeast chieftain, Ikenna Ukwa tasks APC leaders on unity in Abia

Frontline chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC) from the southeast, Hon Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa, has sued for reconciliation among members of the party in Ohafia local government area in Abia State.

Addressing party members when he hosted all the ward and local government area chairmen and secretaries which took place at his countryhome in Amaekpu ohafia at the weekend, Honorable Ukwa who doubles as Senior legislative Aide to the President of the Nigerian Senate, reminded members that the party will not progress and win elections when there is no unity among them, insisting party members must unite towards positioning the party for victory in Arochukwu/ohafia local government areas, and Abia state in coming 2027 general election.

He called on the aggrieved members to sheathe their swords and forgive each to ensure peace in the progressive party in Ohafia local government chapter of the progressive party ahead of the forthcoming elections in the area.

His words: “I thank you all for gathering today at my country home. I flew from Abuja to host this meeting because of the love and passion I have for this party.

“We must forgive each other and bury the hatchet. Peace and cooperation are the only true panacea that will deliver victory for us in 2027.

“This is not the time for quarrels or division. It is the moment to put all hands together to work with unity and love and to make our party formidable. I am not here to listen to complaints. I am here to ensure that every ward and LGA moves forward as one.”

The prominent Abia stalwart tasked critical stakeholders and members of the APC at the ohafia ward and local government area levels on inclusiveness and shun any act that is capable of disintegrating the progressive party in the area and the state as a whole.

Continuing, Honorable Ikenna Ukwa reiterated his total commitment, loyalty, and support to the growths of the progressive party at all levels in the state and the country, assuring the ward and local government executive chairmen and secretaries of the APC in ohafia chapter of his continued supports, especially in pulling personal resource, contact, and energy to propel the party to evitable heights.

On their parts, the Ohafia ward and local government area chairmen and secretaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC), lauded Hon Ikenna Ukwa’s efforts in fostering unity among party members in the Abia local area.
