The Perils of Cosmetic Reconciliation And The Hypocrisy Of Deliberate Hurt: A Direct Call To NDC Leadership

THE PERILS OF COSMETIC RECONCILIATION AND THE HYPOCRISY OF DELIBERATE HURTS: A DIRECT CALL TO NDC NATIONAL LEADERSHIP

The NDC Abia State Powerhouse stands in full alignment with the authentic stakeholders and legitimate candidates of NDC in Abia State. The recent desperate attempt by some imposed characters to lay claims to mandates they do not possess exposes a deep-seated structural issue within our party—one engineered by internal compromise and national apathy.

We must address the elephant in the room:
Reconciliation built on backroom deals, deliberate injustices, and cosmetic band-aids will destroy the NDC from within before we even reach the 2027 polls.
1. The Trap of Cosmetic Reconciliation
Real reconciliation is built on justice, truth, and equity. The practice of imposing interlopers through federal manipulation and then preaching “party harmony” to the victimized grassroots is not peace-building—it is institutionalized hypocrisy.
When the national leadership inflicts deliberate hurts by undermining authentic, credible candidates, they trade long-term electoral victory for short-term political convenience. You cannot sow seeds of injustice and expect to harvest unity.
A divided home in Abia cannot withstand the opposition.
2. Direct Implications for the Peter Obi Presidency
The vision of our presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi rests entirely on competence, character, integrity, and a departure from the transactional politics of the past.
Erosion of Public Trust:
The core strength of the Peter Obi movement is its moral authority. If the NDC national leadership allows “snatch it, grab it, and run with it” tactics to define state primaries, it directly damages Mr. Peter Obi’s credibility as a champion of rule of law and good governance.
Sabotage of the Base:
Abia State is a crucial stronghold for Mr. Peter Obi’s presidential project. Rewarding impostors while alienating authentic grassroots leaders demoralizes the vanguard of the movement, paralyzing the organizational machinery needed to deliver massive presidential votes in 2027.
3. “Nemo Dat Quod Non Habet “: Choose Committee Membership Wisely
__Nemo dat quod non habet_ —no one can give what they do not have.
A national reconciliation committee populated by compromised actors can never yield a fair outcome.
Our National Leader, Sen. Seriake Dickson, Mr. Peter Obi and the National Working Committee are to be exceptionally vigilant and deliberate in selecting representatives, conflict managers, and committee members.
Assigning individuals who lack personal integrity or clear political principles to oversee state harmonizations is a recipe for disaster. If the leadership of a committee is morally bankrupt, its resolutions will only deepen division.
4. The Negativity of Employing Spent Forces and Committed Villains
Recycling politically spent forces, compromised political mercenaries, and known villains of the party to lead operations in Abia State is electoral suicide.
These actors carry heavy baggage that repels the electorate.
They prioritize personal political survival over party victory.
Giving them leverage to manipulate state structures disrespects the genuine sacrifices of committed party faithful who have defended the NDC flag through thick and thin.
Abia State deserves principled, visionary, and clean leadership to represent the integrity, legal clarity, and moral foundation required to deliver Abia to the NDC and secure victory for Mr. Peter Obi in 2027.
OUR RESOLVE
We call on the National Executive Committee, the National leader, Sen. Seriake Dickson and Mr. Peter Obi to immediately intervene, stamp out political impostors, and respect the authentic mandate in Abia State. Let us reject cosmetic patches and choose true justice.
NDC will win. Abia will rise again.
