An Open Letter to President Ahmed Bola Tinubu on Urgent Call for Action to End the Rising Killings Across Nigeria

Subject:Urgent Call for Action to End the Rising Killings Across Nigeria

His Excellency,

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR
President, Federal Republic of Nigeria
State House, Aso Villa, Abuja
Your Excellency,
With a deep sense of concern and a heavy heart, I write to you as a patriotic citizen of Nigeria.
The incessant and escalating killings across our nation have become worrisome and unacceptable. From Benue to Plateau, Zamfara to Kaduna, and other communities, innocent Nigerians β farmers, children, women, and elders β are losing their lives daily.
We elected you to protect lives and property. Section 14(2)(b) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria provides that βthe security and welfare of the people shall be the primary purpose of government.β
Your Excellency, I therefore respectfully and urgently request:
1. Immediate and decisive security operations in all identified flashpoints across the country
2. Full prosecution of all perpetrators of violence and criminality, without fear or favour
3. Accelerated implementation of modern ranching and livestock policies to end farmer-herder clashes
4. Immediate support, compensation, and resettlement for victims and Internally Displaced Persons
5. A national broadcast to reassure citizens and outline clear timelines and benchmarks for restoring peace
Nigerians are tired of mourning. We need action, not just statements.
May the Almighty God guide you to take bold and courageous steps that will restore peace, security, and confidence in our dear nation.
Nigeria belongs to all of us. Please save it.
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Respectfully submitted,
Chukwuemeka Ogah, ORACLE
