State Assembly 2027: Abia NDC Aspirant, Okoronkwo promises effective Representation for Bende south

Ahead of the 2027 general elections, a chieftain of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) and frontline aspirant for the Bende south constituency seat in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon Iheanyi Okoronkwo, has pledged to provide effective, people-oriented, and development-driven representation if elected.

Hon Okoronkwo who made the pledge in an interview with newsmen on Friday in Umuahia, the Abia State capital.
According to him, Bende south has not experienced the desired level of legislative representation over the years, stressing that the people are yearning for purposeful leadership that will promote socio-economic growth and infrastructural development across the constituency.
Hon Iheanyi Okoronkwo assured his total commitment to sponsoring impactful and development-oriented legislation that would strengthen democratic institutions in Abia State and improve service delivery for the people when elected as member of Abia State House of Assembly come next year’s polls.
The Abia assembly hopeful also assured constituents that his representation would focus on human capital development, youth empowerment, community advancement, and policies capable of improving the living conditions of the people of Bende south constituency when elected in the state legislative house come 2027.
Hon Okoronkwo further used medium to urged eligible people from Bende south state Constituency, who have not yet register for Permanent Voters card to visit designated INEC wards or center to get registered, reminding them that voters cards empowers to vote out incapable candidate and elect credible leaders of their choices.
“Without voters cards, you cannot participate in decision-making of the country. You won’t be able to effect a change in the nation’s leadership in situation of democratic misrule. But with your voters card which served as your power and weapon to vote, and to be voted for in any democratic election.
“They should not waste their votes for incompetence, and rather, they should cast their votes for candidates who possessed the need ability and capacity, candidates who are versatile, and candidates who can steer states’s affairs and sponsor good bills and make impactful and development -oriented laws that will further engender socio-economic and infrastructural projects, including strengthening democratic institutions of governance in our country,”He stated.
Hon Iheanyi Okoronkwo boasted that he possessed the needed capacity and wherewithal to make good laws for Abia people and attract even development in Bende south state Constituency when supported to emerge as the lawmaker and member of the Abia hallowed legislative house in the forthcoming 2027 elections in the country.
