Ahead of the 2027 general elections, a chieftain of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) and aspirant for the Bende South Constituency seat in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Ikpechukwu Emeka Loveday, has pledged to provide effective, people-oriented, and development-driven representation if elected.

Hon. Ikpechukwu made this known shortly after the just-concluded National aspirants of the NDC held in Abuja over the weekend.

According to him, Bende South has not experienced the desired level of legislative representation over the years, stressing that the people are yearning for purposeful leadership that will promote socio-economic growth and infrastructural development across the constituency.

The aspirant reaffirmed his commitment to sponsoring impactful and development-oriented legislation that would strengthen democratic institutions in Abia State and improve service delivery for the people.

He further assured constituents that his representation would focus on human capital development, youth empowerment, community advancement, and policies capable of improving the living conditions of the people of Bende South.

Hon. Ikpechukwu Emeka Loveday also congratulated members of the party who emerged as national officers during the convention, expressing confidence in their capacity to reposition the Nigeria Democratic Congress for greater political success.

He urged party faithful across the country to rally support for the new national leadership in order to strengthen the party ahead of future electoral contests in Nigeria.
