Christmas: Rekindle the spirit of unity, Nzekwe urges Christian faithfuls

Chairman, former members of Imo State House of Assembly (FOMIHA), Hon Ugochukwu Nzekwe, has urged christian faithfuls to use this year’s christmas celebration to rekindle the spirit of peace, unity and compassion for one another.

Hon Nzekwe, who gave the advice in a message to christian communities across the globe to mark the birth of Jesus Christ on Thursday.

The ex-Imo lawmaker also urged christians to continue to embrace dialogue over division, unity over discord, and service over self-interest as one people bound by shared values and destiny.

He partly stated: “Christmas reminds us of the power of love, sacrifice, and renewed hope. At a time like this, when our world yearns for healing, may the message of Christ rekindle in us the spirit of peace, unity, and compassion for one another

“Together, we can build a stronger, more harmonious society where justice, understanding, and progress prevail”.

Hon Nzekwe, who doubles as President General, Orluzurumee Worldwide, extended his warmest greetings to christian faithfuls, friends, and well-wishers on the celebration of this year’s christmas across the world.

“May this Christmas bring joy to our homes, strength to the weary, comfort to the vulnerable, and lasting peace to our land.

“I wish you and your loved ones a blessed Christmas and a hopeful New Year,”He stated.
