Isuikwuato Development Union (IDU) National honours Chuks Omesie with Nwanneukwu Community Service Award as he dedicates award to late father, Gov Otti

The Isuikwuato Development Union (IDU) National, the worldwide umbrella body of Isuikwuato people and organisations, has honoured Chukwuma Omesie, popularly known as ChuksDigits, with the prestigious Nwanneukwu Community Service Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to community service, development, and selfless commitment to humanity.

The award was presented during the maiden edition of the Isuikwuato Nwanneukwu Cultural Festival 2025, on 24th December 2025, a historic cultural celebration that brought together sons and daughters of Isuikwuato from across the globe.

The colourful and well-attended event marked the first major cultural outing of the global body and served as a platform to recognise exemplary individuals whose lives reflect the values of unity, service, and progress.

Chuks Omesie, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Strong Digits Limited, a company renowned for ICT equipment importation, sales, services, and sundry contracts, was singled out for his consistent record of grassroots engagement, quiet philanthropy, youth empowerment, and unwavering concern for community development.

Widely known as ChuksDigits, he has earned respect for blending professional excellence with deep-rooted community responsibility.

While receiving the award, Omesie expressed profound gratitude to IDU National for recognising what he described as “services rendered out of love and commitment to the people.”

He used the occasion to pledge continued support for ongoing community development projects, reaffirming his resolve to do even more for Isuikwuato land.

He commended the President General of IDU Worldwide, Chidiebere George Uguru, JP, and his executive team for their visionary leadership and for effectively using the IDU platform to unite Isuikwuato people across political, cultural, and geographical lines.

He also applauded the Organising Committee of the 2025 Isuikwuato Nwanneukwu Cultural Festival, led by Chief Agu Godswill Egbe, PhD, for delivering what he described as a memorable and historic maiden event.

Speaking to journalists shortly after the ceremony, Omesie noted that the award was “not a mere gift, but a call to higher service.”

According to him, the recognition comes with a responsibility to project the image of Isuikwuato Ndi Nwanneukwu with dignity, integrity, and respect wherever one finds oneself.

He urged Isuikwuato people at home and in the diaspora to continually imbibe and pass on the spirit of Nwanneukwu—the spirit of love, unity, mutual care, and collective responsibility—summed up in the age-long philosophy of “Onye aghala nwanne ya”, especially as a legacy to future generations.

In a deeply emotional moment, Chuks Omesie dedicated the award to God, the source and sustainer of all things; to his late father, Engr. Lawrence Kanu Omesie, whose life of discipline and service continues to inspire him; and to His Excellency, Governor Alex Otti, whose globally acknowledged leadership in Abia State, he said, has become a beacon of hope and inspiration to this generation.

He also expressed special appreciation to the President of Isiala-Ezere Autonomous Community for identifying him as worthy of the honour.

The recognition of Chuks Omesie at the maiden Isuikwuato Nwanneukwu Cultural Festival stands as a celebration of service, excellence, and the enduring values that bind the Isuikwuato people together as one family.
