NASS 2027:Party Chieftain, Nwachukwu picks NDC Senatorial nomination forms for Abia South district seat

Party Chieftain, Hon Chisom Henry Nwachukwu, has picked expression of interests and nomination forms of Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) to contest for Abia south senatorial district seat election in 2027.

Hon Nwachukwu disclosed this in a statement issued on Monday.

He thanked the national chairman of the NDC, Senator Cleopas Moses Zuwoghe, Abia State Party chairman, Chief Ako Atulomah, and the State Secretary, Hon Kenneth Okere for their steadfast leadership, guidance and encouragement.

Hon Nwachukwu also extended his profound gratitude to the party leadership, stakeholders, and members of the NDC for the confidence reposed in him, as well as to the resilient people of Abia south for their enduring trust, love, and overwhelming support over the years.

According to the frontline senatorial aspirant, “Be reassured that I’m committed and won’t disappoint the high level of trust you have deposited in me.

“To my friends, associates, and family—thank you for standing with me at every step of this journey. Your prayers, encouragement, and unwavering support are the strength that anchors me.

“After careful reflection and wide consultations, I have made a deliberate decision to align with the vision of His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi. That vision centers on attracting quality development to our senatorial zone through purposeful, accountable, and people-driven legislative engagement at the Red Chambers in Abuja. Abia South deserves representation that prioritizes infrastructure, youth empowerment, education, healthcare, and economic opportunities, and that is the standard I intend to uphold.

“I reassure our people that I am fully prepared, capable, and committed to this responsibility. This is more than a political aspiration; it is a call to service and a mandate whose time has come. By the special grace of God, nothing can hinder what He has ordained.
