Chijindu Emeruwa: Hon Luke Ukara: Trailing the blaze in public leadership/service

Described as an embodiment of humility, comradeship, service and patriotism by friends, political associates and teeming admirers across the globe, there are no gainsaying the fact that this virtues embedded by Honorable Luke Onyeani Ukara has continued to stand him out as true servant- leader in the annals of history of political developments in Abia state and Nigeria.

Having distinguished himself as a successful entrepreneur, and demonstrated leadership capacity needed with modest leadership strides recorded while serving as then member and lawmaker representing the good people of Arochukwu constituency in Abia state House of Assembly, Hon Luke Onyeani Ukara has never hidden his passion for public service as he has remained committed in promoting the visionary agendas of the present democratic government in Abia state.

As Special Adviser on legislative matters to the indefatigable Governor of Abia state, Dr Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, Hon Luke Onyeani Ukara played pivotal role in fostering the current harmony and political stability existing between the executive arm of government and members of the state house of assembly. And this cordial relationship between the two arms of governments in Abia have engendered economic growth and of development of critical infrastructure in whole of the local government council areas of the state.

Honorable Luke Onyeani Ukara, no doubts, has proven to his belief that his ideology is shrouded on service to humanity and the larger society, as he has recorded giants stride in human capital development. As then member of Abia state House of Assembly sponsored multiple bills and motions that brought direct impacts to all local communities that formed Arochukwu state constituency. He also organized several free weekly medical service, providing healthcare treatments to Arochukwu constituents.

Under his education support program, Honorable Luke Onyeani Ukara trained, and has continued to train many indigent and no -indigent Abians in different institutions to leaning acquire requisite knowledge in field of choice and became self-reliant and useful to the society

As parts of his contributions in addressing joblessness and restiveness associated with youths in present societies in the world, Honorable Luke Onyeani Ukara initiated several skill acquisition training program, wherein youths across his home state were trained in different artisanship and empowered with soft loan upon completion of the program.

Equally, Hon Luke Onyeani Ukara has curved a niche in community/grassroots development, as he embarked on repair of deplorable road in many local communities in Arochukwu constituency. And these human welfarist projects and many others not listed, carried out by this illustrious Abia son, Hon Luke Onyeani Ukara, impacted positively people’s livelihoods across Arochukwu ancient clan.

While hailing the sterling leadership qualities and giant strides achieved by Hon Luke Onyeani Ukara, cross- section of Abia stakeholders commended the former state legislator for his significant role and genuine commitment towards enhancing the welfare of the people. The Abia stakeholders also applauded thanked Governor Alex Chioma Otti for finding Hon Luke Ukara to serve in his administration and tipped the ex-state lawmaker for highest leadership position in future.
