Abia 2027: South-East Group laud NDC on Ojogho’s victory at concluded primaries

Ahead of 2027 main elections in Nigeria, Forum of Abia South Democrats (FAD), has lauded the recent emergence of Hon Oscar Ojogho as the state house of assembly candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for Obingwa east constituency of Abia State.

The pro-democracy group also applauded the leadership of the NDC for the successful conduct of the just-concluded state house of assembly primary election in Obingwa east state constituency.

The Forum of Abia South Democrats (FABD) whose membership is drawn from the six local government areas that constituted Abia south senatorial district, gave the applause in a press statement made available to journalists on Monday in Aba.

The release by the forum was signed by the President, Surveyor Samuel Chibuzo A and the Secretary -General, Mrs. Nancy Nwanoru.

The forum described the outcome of the recently-conducted state assembly primaries for Obingwa east constituency as a collective wish of the people of Obingwa extraction whom for so long yearns for effective and quality representation in Abia legislative house.

While noting that Hon Oscar Ojogho’s unwavering commitment to the socio-economic and infrastructural development of obingwa east constituency and larger Abia State cannot be overemphasized, Forum of Abia South Democrats (FASD) also noted that Ojogho’s continued contributions and support towards community development in Abia and posited that Hon Oscar Ojogho’s possessed the ability and needed capacity to deliver effective legislative governance to the people of Obingwa East when elected as a lawmaker and member of Abia State House of Assembbly come next year.

According to him, “Obingwa East constituency has not experienced the desired level of legislative representation over the years, stressing that the people are yearning for purposeful leadership that will promote socio-economic growth and infrastructural development across the constituency.

“We are confident Hon Oscar Ojogho has the wherewith to sponsor impactful and development-oriented legislation that will strengthen all relevant institutions of democratic governance in Abia State for efficient service delivery for the people when voted into the state house of assembly,”the Southeast group stated.

Forum of Abia South Democrats (FABD) pledged to continue to rally support for Hon Oscar Ojogho and ensure he emerge victorious with bulk votes casts in the forthcoming election in obingwa east constituency.

The forum partly stated,”We would want to use this very important medium to urge eligible people from Obingwa East state constituency who have not yet register for Permanent Voters card to visit designated INEC wards or center to get registered. Because, voters cards empowers to vote out incapable candidate and elect credible leaders of their choices.

“Without voters cards, you cannot participate in decision-making of the country. You won’t be able to effect a change in the nation’s leadership in situation of democratic misrule. But with your voters card which served as your power and weapon to vote, and to be voted for in any democratic election..

“They should not waste their votes for incompetence, and rather, they should cast their votes for candidates who possessed the need ability and capacity, candidates who are versatile, and candidates who can steer states’s affairs and sponsor good bills and make impactful and development -oriented laws that will further engender socio-economic and infrastructural projects, including strengthening democratic institutions of governance in our country. .

“We as citizens must take our destines in our hands and make bold decisions in ensuring candidates who do not have a well-thought out plans or lack policy direction towards addressing most teething problems of the masses. are not allowed to near any elective public offices.

“Finally, I am using this very important medium to urge all sons and daughters from Obingwa East constituency to queue behind and vote in Hon Oscar Ojogho during the upcoming election, for effective and purposeful representation of Obingwa East in the State hallowed legislative chamber,”the FABD admonished.
