2027: Abia South Senatorial aspirant, James Chikwendu resign from LP

Party Chieftain and frontline senatorial aspirant for Abia South district in the forthcoming 2027 elections, Comrade James Chibuzo Chikwendu, has announced his resignation from the labour party in Abia state.
Comrade Chikwendu announced his formal resignation from the ruling party in the state , in a letter addressed to the Chairman, Labour party ward 5 in Obingwa local government area.
According to him, “I want to formally tender my resignation as a member of the Labour party Ward 3, Obingwa local government area, Abia State, with effect from today 7th May, 2026.
“I sincerely appreciate the opportunity given to me to serve and contribute to the growth and activities of the party during my period of membership,”He partly stated.
