2027: Southeast chieftain, Emeka Bahadur reacts to Peter Obi’s formal defection to ADC

A stalwart of African Democratic Congress from the southeast, Honorable Emeka Bahadur Ndubuisi, has applauded the formal defection of former presidential candidate of the Labour party, Dr Peter Obi to the ADC.

Obi, an ex-Governor of Anambra state, officially announced his defection on Wednesday 31st December, 2025.

Honorable Emeka Bahadur while reacting in a statement issued on Wednesday night, commended Obi for making the right decision by aligning with ADC aimed at transforming and rescuing Nigerian citizens from the current democratic misrule of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the country.

He described Peter Obi as a force to reckon with, especially in the collective resolves by true democrats to enthrone responsive democratic leaderships in every stratas in Nigeria.

Bahadur maintained that ADC parades men and women of calibers who possessed the needed leadership capacities to win elections and bring to bear their vast wealths of experiences in solving myriads of challenges hindering Nigeria’s efforts to attain economic greatness.

While describing African Democratic Congress as the only alternative to the economic recovery and infrastructural growths of the country, the former house of representatives aspirant from Abia state, assured Nigerians that the party will formulate and implement result-oriented policies geared at building and improving critical infrastructures across the country, and other key sectors of the economy to ensure greater developments of Nigeria.

The frontline southeast chieftain further commended the National Working Committee of the party chaired by Senator David Mark, former Nigerian vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Rotimi Amaechi, and other eminent leaders of the party for their unwavering commitment and efforts in positioning ADC for future electoral prospects.

“I must also use this great fora to call on other well-meaning citizens to join ADC and play a role in this ongoing rescue mission by lovers of democracy to save Nigeria from misgovernance. And I also urging members and teeming supporters of the party to remain steadfast with their supports to the leadership of the ADC in states and national levels,”He stated.
