2027: Southern League of Professionals appeals NDC NEC to issue State Assembly ticket to Udensi
A think-tank group, Southern League of Professionals (SLP), has appealed to the national working committee of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) to issue its state house of assembly ticket to Barrister Jonas Okorie Udensi.
Addressing newsmen in Abuja on Saturday, the President of the think-tank group, Surveyor Samuel Aguiyi flanked by executive members, described Barrister Jonas Udensi as best man to secure total victory for NDC in the forthcoming elections and effectively represent the people of Bende North constituency at Abia state house of assembly.
The group noted that its appeal comes on the heels of the overwhelming support and widespread acceptance of Barrister Udensi among majority of party members and the electorates during the recently-conducted state house of assembly primary election held for Bende north state constituency seat.
“According to the body, “Aside from the widespread acceptance among the electorates in the state constituency, Barrister Jonas Okorie Udensi has remained committed to public service and also dedicated to the advancement of democratic values in Abia state and larger Nigeria.
Southern League of Professionals noted that Barrister Jonas Okorie Udensi has continuously demonstrated his desire to contribute to societal building and development, having chaired and coordinated professional bodies effectively and efficiently.
The body noted that Barrister Jonas Udensi has remained a defender of justice and advocate for the rights and welfare of average Nigerians.

The Southern League of Professionals (SLP), therefore urged the national leadership of the Nigeria Democratic Congress to consider competence and grassroots acceptance in making its final decision on the state house of assembly ticket.
The think-tank group pledged to deliver bulk votes to NDC to ensure the victory and emergence of Barrister Jonas Okorie Udensi as lawmaker and member representing Bende north constituency in Abia state house of assembly come next year’s elections across the country.
