2027 NASS:South-East Group laud Emeka Kalu’s commitment towards nation-building, tips him for Abia north senatorial seat

A socio-political organization, Progressive Abia Youths for Good Governance (PABG), has lauded the unwavering commitment of foremost philanthropist, Chief Dr Emeka Charles Kalu towards human empowerment and societal development.

The organization whose membership is drawn from the three senatorial districts of Abia state in a communique, noted Dr Emeka Kalu’s significant contributions in collective efforts to deepen the current democracy in the country.

The communique was signed by the President, Surveyor Samuel Aguiyi, Nancy Agwu-Ukpai (Secretary), and Comrade Chinedu Emeruwa(Publicity Secretary), and issued at the end of the enlarged meeting of Progressive Abia Youths for Good Governance (PAYG), held on Sunday 23rd Nov, 2025 in Umuahia, the Abia State capital.

The organization particularly noted that Chief Emeka Charles Kalu has distinguished himself as a private sector businessman as they has remained consistent in fostering youth empowerment through several humanitarian programs by his philanthropic foundation, across Abia state, southeast and Nigeria.

The group noted that Dr Kalu’s immense contributions towards the socio-economic and infrastructural growths in some Abia communities attested to the widely-held opinions that he possessed the needed ability and capacity to engender genuine development in Abia north senatorial district, and indeed Abia state if called upon and supported to mount national assembly (Senate) seat.

Describing Chief Emeka Kalu as an embodiment of humility, comradeship, and service, Progressive Abia Youths for Good Governance posited that these sterling qualities embedded this foremost Abia-born business mogul by stood him unfit, and best brain to give the good people of Abia north senatorial zone a voice at the senate come 2027.

While decrying misrepresentation of Abia north at the nation’s legislative house under present democratic dispensation, the organization prevailed on Chief Emeka Charles Kalu to heed to the clarion call and appeals of the majority of average people from Abia north district to join national assembly race for the coming elections in 2027 in Abia state.

The Abia youths told Kalu that it will amount to disservice to the people if fail to heed to this unanimous call and decision from the larger populace in Abia north senatorial to lead them.

The Progressive Abia Youths for Good Governance disclosed its ongoing tours to various rural communities in aimed at mobilizing support and bulk votes from eligible voters in the constituency to ensure election of Chief Dr Emeka Charles Kalu as the senator representing Abia north senatorial zone in 2027.

According to the southeast youth body, “We have placed announcements in several media outlets, mobilizing and sensitizing these eligible Abia voters to go register for Permanent Voters card in designated INEC centers or units, which empowers them to choose competent and capable personalities into various public /political leadership positions, to man their affairs and engender socio-economic and infrastructural developments in their respective areas “.
