2027: Abia Forum asks NDC to recognize James Chikwendu’s victory at concluded senatorial primaries

Forum of Abia Democrats (FABD), has called on the leadership of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) to adhere to people’s mandate, internal democracy and affirm Comrade James Chibuzo Chikwendu as the candidate of the party for Abia South senatorial district seat for the coming 2027 elections in Abia state.

The forum whose membership is drawn from the seventeen (17) local government areas of Abia State, appreciated party members for the overwhelming support given to Comrade James Chibuzo Chikwendu during the party senatorial primaries held for Abia South senatorial district seat in Abia state.

Forum of Abia Democrats (FABD) made the commendation in a press release made available to newsmen on Monday in Abuja.

The release by the forum was signed by the Chairman, Surveyor Samuel Aguiyi and Secretary-General, Victor Mbanaso

While commending the party leadership for considering competence and grassroots acceptance in arriving at its decision on Abia South senatorial district ticket, the forum described Comrade James Chibuzo Chikwendu as the best man for the plum legislative job, having demonstrated capacity then as a successful private sector business man, human right crusader, and political leader in Abia state.

According to the forum, “the confidence and widespread acceptance of Comrade James Chibuzo Chikwendu enjoys among the electorates in Abia South senatorial district will turn into electoral victory for NDC in next year’s general election.

Forum of Abia Democrats (FABD) described Comrade James Chikwendu emergence as the NDC candidate for Abia South senatorial district as the begining of a new chapter of progress and purposeful leadership in the federal constituency and the larger Abia State.

“We believe Comrade James Chibuzo Chikwendu has the wherewithal to drive development and uplift rural communities in Abia South senatorial district through the attractions of meaningful infrastructural projects and provision of essential amenities across the Abia south senatorial district when chosen in the coming election as a member of the national assembly.

“Aside from attracting essential socio-economic and infrastructural projects, it is not in doubt that Comrade James Chikwendu will make a difference by sponsoring resulted -oriented motions and impactful bills, and make development-oriented laws which will strength all relevant institutions of democratic governance in Nigeria when elected into the red chamber of the national assembly.

The southeast forum therefore pledged to deliver bulk votes to NDC to ensure the victory and emergence of Comrade James Chibuzo Chikwendu as the senator representing Abia south at the senate come next year’s elections in Abia state.
