Why I dumped PDP for ADC- Abia chieftain, Emeka Bahadur

By Chijindu Emeruwa

Former House of Representatives aspirant from Abia State and Director General, Atiku Abubakar Coalition Media Awareness Forum, Hon Emeka Bahadur, has adduced the rationale behind his defection to African Democratic Congress (ADC) from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

THE PURVEYOR recalls that Bahadur had in July 3, 2025, announced his resignation from the PDP in Abia State.
He regretted that persistent crisis, disorganization, and poor leadership have undermined the PDP’s effectiveness, and well eroded his confidence in the party’s ability to deliver her leadership towards 2027 election preparation.
In a recent statement, Hon Emeka Bahadur explained that he moved into ADC in order to join hands with true democrats in rescuing the soul of Nigeria from misrule of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the country.
“As a better and viable alternative, I have decided to align myself with the ideological tenants of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
“I will diligently work with my principal, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to ensure that we rescue the soul of our dear country and restore the principles of democracy in our country. And finally prioritize the welfare of the people.
“This is the beginning of a new dawn in our political space in Nigeria.
“Let us join hands together and oust this government that has perpetually inflicted hunger and pain to our people,”the Abia party chieftain admonished.
