Ubani meets oboro community in London, rallys supports for Alex Otti-led administration in Abia

Senior Advocate of Nigeria and member of the Board Council of the Abia State University (ABSU), Dr Monday Onyekachi Ubani, SAN, has rallied support for Governor Alex Otti-led administration in Abia state.

Speaking during an interactive session held at Hallows Town in Essex County, United Kingdom, while hosted by the oboro community in United kingdom (UK), London, Dr Ubani informed them that the present administration has demonstrated transformational leadership which has engendered several socio-economic and infrastructural projects across the state.

He called on the oboro community in diaspora to invest in their home state, describing Abia as the new destination of choice for birth local and foreign investors.

Ubani who was in London for the graduation of his daughter, reassured them that Abia State remains one of the safest states in the South-East region, and indeed the country, attributing the feat to the proactive collaboration between village vigilante groups, conventional security agencies, and Abia state Homeland Security outfit and as well as government consistent support to all security agencies in the state.

Speaking earlier during the interactive session, the oboro community in United Kingdom lauded the remarkable developmental strides of Governor Alex Chioma Otti in Abia state.

The diasporan members expressed enthusiasm about contributing to the continuity of good governance in Abia State, and declared to offer moral and logistical support towards the reelection of Governor Otti in 2027.

The oboro community appealed for equitable distribution of infrastructural projects across Ikwuano.

They specifically requested the construction and rehabilitation of the deplorable okwe ukwu/umuesen road linking olori,
and isiala oboro/olori roads , including provision of basic infrastructure for Obunta community.

The community described as one of the most neglected areas in Ikwuano local government area of by successive past administrations in Abia state.

While also highlighting the plight of Ibere Clan, ranging from severe erosion, poor road networks, and inadequate educational facilities, the diasporan community further noted that the ancient clan is yet to produce a member of the Abia state house of assembly since the creation of the state.
