Setting the Record Straight on Claims About Chief Onyedi Okwulehie
Recent posts circulating on social media have made several claims regarding Chief Onyedi Okwulehie’s political history and community projects. However, these claims have been challenged by individuals familiar with the 2023 Abia State House of Assembly election in Umuahia North State Constituency.
Chief Onyedi Okwulehie was not the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Umuahia North State Constituency in the 2023 general rather , Hon. Akaliro Kelechi Anderson was the party’s recognized candidate whose name appeared on the ballot.
The assertion that Chief Okwulehie won the election before losing the mandate at the Supreme Court is a lie from the pit of hell. Also, He did not contest the election and therefore could not have been declared the winner or had a mandate taken away through the courts. The litigation involving Chief Okwulehie and Hon. Akaliro did not result in Chief Okwulehie being recognized as the party’s candidate.
In addition, claims that Chief Okwulehie facilitated the installation of solar street lights, distributed empowerment items, and provided large-scale palliatives have also been questioned. These achievements have not been supported by publicly verifiable evidence and should not be presented as established facts without documentation.
As with any political discussion, it is important for the public to verify claims through official election records, court judgments, and credible news reports rather than relying solely on social media posts. Political discourse is best served by accurate information and evidence-based debate rather than competing narratives that cannot be independently verified.
We are Ohuhu huruzo and cannot be cowed into believing cheap propaganda in a bid to attract sympathy. Hon. Barr. Anderson Akaliro has the capability to take us to the next level. He deserves another four years which is sacrosanct.
