Party Chieftain, MacDonald Ubah Welcomes leaders, delegates to Abia for 2026 LP National Convention

Navy Comdr.MacDonald Ubah, Retd, Special Adviser on Security matters to Abia State Governor, has reiterated the unwavering commitment of the present administration in sustaining the relative peace and stability witnessed in the state.

Speaking on Monday, on the heels of the upcoming national convention of the labour party in umuahia on Tuesday, Ubah stated that the effective security architecture put in place in assumption of office by Governor Alex Otti-led administration in Abia state.

The frontline chieftain of the labour party welcomes the national, state leaders, and statutory delegates of the party to Abia State for the Tuesday’s convention.

Retired Navy Comdr Ubah assured party faithfuls coming from all other states of the federation to Abia of a hitch-free convention, reiterating that Otti-led administration cannot trade security of lives and properties of the citizenry for political aggrandizement and added that security remained the topmost priority of the current state government.

According to the security adviser, “Aside from Governor Otti-led administration’s strides in Security sector, this current state government has earned pass Mark in construction of road infrastructures across our local communities or areas. This government has fostered improved education in Abia schools, and efficient healthcare delivery system. There is ongoing construction of Abia airport spearhead by Governor Otti’s administration.

“This present administration has redefined governance in Abia state with many giant developmental strides at its credits. All critical facilities had already been out in place by this purposeful government in Abia to ensure comfortability and security of party members coming into the state capital for 2026 Labour Party National Convention”.

While welcoming Labour party leaders and statutory delegates for the convention in umuahia, Ubah called on party faithfuls across the local government areas of Abia State to troop out en masse to receive the special visitors and make the upcoming party convention a successful one.
