Naira gains against dollar across official, black markets

The naira recorded appreciation against the dollar at official and parallel foreign exchange markets.

The Central Bank of Nigeria’s exchange showed that it firmed up slightly to N1,525.83 against the dollar on Thursday from N1,526.15 exchanged on Wednesday.

This showed that the naira strengthened by N0.32 against the dollar on a day-to-day basis.
THE PURVEYOR reports that this is the fourth straight time the naira is appreciating against the dollar at the official market this week.
At the parallel foreign exchange market, the naira strengthened by N10 against the dollar to close at N1,560 per dollar on Thursday from N1,570 traded the previous day.
