Foremost philanthropist, Sunday Ogbu Mecnix joins ADC in Abia

A foremost philanthropist and the President of Olejuru Charity Foundation, Ambassador Onyemachi Sunday Ogbu Mecnix, has joined African Democratic Congress ADC in Abia state.

This was made known in a facebook post on Thursday, by the new Abia party chieftain.

Amb Ogbu’s formal entry into the coalition ADC followed his e-registration as a bonafide member of the party in Abia state.

Speaking on Friday, Amb Onyemachi Sunday Ogbu Mecnix, pledged his total commitment to the unity and progress of the party, describing ADC as the alternative to Nigeria’s economic rejuvenation and genuine infrastructural developments.

He urged all lovers of democracy to join ADC to ensure responsive and transformative leaderships at all levels in Nigeria.

Ogbu’s entry into the ADC has stirred speculations in many quarters about the latter’s bid to run for bende north constituency seat in Abia state in next year’s general election in the country.

But the ADC stalwart, Amb Sunday Ogbu Mecnix, had in January, stated that he has no plan or decided to contest bende north constituency seat in Abia House of Assembly in 2027 elections.

He stated also that he would make his decision known after a wide consultations with, family ,critical stakeholders and good people of bende north state constituency.
