Congress: Abia Stalwart, Ifeanyi Ogbonna laud Chukwu’s election as new State APC chairman

Stalwart of the All Progressives Congress, Hon Ifeanyi Elvis Ogbonna, has congratulated a former member of Abia State House of Assembly, Hon Chukwu Chijioke on his emergence as new Abia state chairman of the APC.

In a statement on Sunday, Hon Ogbonna also felicitates with other newly-elected members of the state executive committee of the party, describing the recently-concluded Congress by the APC leadership as the first of its kind since the party formation in Abia state.

Hon Ogbonna lauded the turnout of delegates, party leaders and teeming members and the peaceful dispositions by the party faithfuls during the concluded wards, local government areas and state congresses.

The Abia chieftain also noted that it was a clear departure from previous elections of the party that were full of rancor and divisions among members.

While urging the newly-elected members of the Abia State executive committee (SWC) to work together in ensuring the continued progress of the party and the state, Hon Ifeanyi Ogbonna further commended leaders and members of the APC in the state for their commitment to the unity of the party and the current efforts in repositioning the progressive party for electoral success.

The frontline politician also used the medium to urge Nigerians to keep faith with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration as it remains committed in developing critical social infrastructures in the country to improve their welfare.
