Borrowed Visions Cannot Build Okigwe

There are politicians with a compass… and there are politicians with binoculars, constantly watching others because they have no direction of their own. They  survive by watching and copying those with vision. Sadly, Okigwe is beginning to witness too much of the latter.

Certain individuals have reduced politics to shadow-chasing, echoing ideas, recycling concepts, and borrowing the language of others because they lack the originality and clarity needed for serious leadership. But leadership is not built on imitation. A man who cannot create direction will always struggle to sustain it.

What makes the situation even more obvious is the persistent attempt to mirror the themes and developmental philosophy consistently championed by Attorney Dr. Charles Chibuike Onyirimba. From transformation rhetoric to people-centred messaging, the fingerprints are difficult to hide. And rather than diminish Onyirimba’s influence, it only validates it.

After all, people do not repeatedly copy what they secretly believe has no value.

Vision is not noise.

Leadership is not mimicry.

Capacity cannot be stolen.

Okigwe people are watching carefully, and they can clearly distinguish between a man carrying a genuine burden for the future and those merely tagging along in the hope of riding another person’s movement into a position they are ill-equipped to occupy.

At some point, humility becomes necessary.

There is no shame in admitting that another person understands the road better. There is no dishonour in supporting a vision that already resonates with the people. In truth, the greatest service some politicians can render Okigwe is to stop pretending to lead where they lack direction and instead align with the man who has consistently demonstrated clarity, preparation, and purpose.

Okigwe deserves genuine progress, not desperate imitation disguised as ambition. And in the end, history will always remember the visionary, not those who survived by copying him.
