At 60: Abia community to honor illustrious son, Comdr. MacDonald Ubah,Retd

As reciprocation to his philanthropic gestures to humanities and the society, sport-loving people of Ubakala clan in Umuahia South local government area of Abia State through the Ubakala Sports Committee, has fixed 21st July 2025 to hold Novelty football match in celebration of 60th birthday of Navy Commander MacDonald Ubah (Retd).
Navy Comdr MacDonald Ubah, Retd, was a former House of Representatives candidate, and currently serves as Special Adviser on Security matters to the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti,OFR.
In a statement on Friday, the novelty match will hold in Ubakala Mini Stadium in Umuahia South LGA.
The kick-off of the match is 4:00pm, and will feature Ubakala Diamond All Stars FC vs Ubakala United FC.
The Organisers who lauded the enormous support of Navy Commander MacDonald Ubah,Retd, towards human empowerment, socio -economic and infrastructural development of Ubakala clan, Umuahia South and Abia State as a whole, explained that the upcoming Birthday novelty match is show of appreciations to the celebrant for his several sponsorship of the annual Ubakala Unity Football Competition.
The Organisers promised a hitch-free match, and invites the public to grace the event monday next week.
