Abia Senatorial aspirant, Iro Oji laud successful conduct of NDC Convention in Abuja

A chieftain of Nigeria Democratic Congress and Senatorial aspirant for Abia North district seat, Chief Nnamdi Iro Oji, (Opotoyom), has lauded the successful conduct of the just-concluded national convention by NDC.

Iro Oji lauded the commitment of the leaders and members to the progress and unity of the party in the country.

Speaking on Saturday in Abuja, Iro Oji noted that the just-concluded convention has further strengthened the collective resolve in providing purposeful and responsive leadership to Nigerian people.

Iro Oji congratulated eminent party members who emerged as national officers of Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) at the concluded convention.

He particularly congratulated an Abia chieftain, Chief Okey Ezeala on his election as the new deputy national publicity secretary of the NDC during the exercise.

The foremost industrialist expressed confidence in the ability and capacity of the newly-elected members of the national executive committee of the party in delivering the party to electoral successes.

He commended former Anambra state Governor, Peter Obi and ex-presidential candidate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, all other party leaders and members for their display of unity of purpose and spirit of patriotic during the recently-conducted national convention by the NDC.

The Abia Stalwart lauded the NDC leadership for zoning its presidential seat ticket to southern Nigeria ahead of its primaries, and main election come next year.

“I think the party’s decision in zoning its presidential ticket ahead of the coming primaries allows the South to complete its turn in producing national leadership.

“The party’s decision presents an opportunity for true national healing. And it is agreed to ensure fairness and federal character in all ramifications,”He posited.
