Abia LP chieftain, Emma Uche laud Gov Otti’s affirmation as party national leader

A chieftain of the labour party, Mazi Emmanuel Uche has lauded the recent affirmation of the Governor of Abia state, Dr Alex Otti as the national leader of the party in Nigeria.

The NWC announced Otti’s affirmation as the national leader of the party in a communique issued at the end of its meeting held on Wednesday in Abuja.

The meeting was chaired by the national caretaker committee chairman of the labour party, Nemadi Usman.

The development followed the recent defection of the its 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi to the coalition African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the country.

However, Mazi Emmanuel Uche who doubles as the Chief Executive Officer of Sonacop Industrial Limited, while speaking with newsmen on Saturday, lauded the unwavering commitment to the progress and unity of the party.

He described Governor Otti’s affirmation as the party national leader as a clear testament of his sterling leadership capacity and qualities, which stood him as a true democrat.

Mazi Uche commended the state governor for making the party proud and justifying the mandate entrusted him by Abia populaces with numerous completed infrastructural projects built by his administration across the state in the last two years in office.

“Apart from recording giant strides in development of critical infrastructures in Abia state, there is ongoing construction of Abia airport in isiala ngwa local government area. And when this airstrip project is fully achieved by this government has economic values to the state. It would guarantee and increase the inflow of foreign business investments in Abia state. And also it would enhance and increase Abia internally-generated revenues.

“Dr Otti has engendered improved the state education and healthcare delivery systems as his administration has provided critical infrastructures, and ensured treachers’ training, and recruitment of new teachers that led to increased students enrollments in schools in Abia state,”the Abia stalwart added.

He also commended the commitments and efforts by the Dr Nemadi Usman -led National working committee of the labour party in respositioning the party for future electoral success, especially

as the party prepares to conduct congresses and national convention to elect new officers of the party at states and national levels.

He encouraged all party members of the party to participate in the Congress processes and lauded the party leadership for its commitment to ensuring a credible, transparent and inclusive congresses.
