Abia ADC Chapter to hold Ward, LG, State congresses

The Abia State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has informed members and stakeholders in the state that all congresses as scheduled will hold as earlier stipulated.

The Abia ADC made the announcement in a statement issued at the weekend, reassured all members that the party remains focused, united and committed to its vision of strengthening democracy and restoring hope to Nigerians.

The statement was signed by the State Coordinator Electoral matters/INEC Liaison, ADC, Chief Onwuasoanya Emole  Shedrack.

Continuing, the Abia leadership of the ADC said “While there may be concerns in the public space, we encourage everyone to remain calm and confident, as the leadership is fully prepared to ensure a smooth, credible, and transparent process.

“The ADC firmly believes in the principles of true democratic participation, providing citizens with credible choices and the opportunity to freely decide their leaders.

“We are committed to upholding these values and contributing meaningfully to the growth of Nigeria’s democratic system,”the statement added.

While reiterating their full support to the national chairman of the African Democratic Congress, Senator David Mark, national secretary, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, and other members of the national working committee of the party, the Abia leadership of the ADC frowned at activities of some mischief makers and political merchants who in cohort with APC wants to truncate the nation’s democracy.

“However, let them understand that those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable”.

“Our party is resilient and steadfast. We remain determined to overcome any challenges and to continue building a platform that serves the interests of the people,”the State ADC chapter declared.

The ADC leadership, therefore, called on all members to stay engaged, cooperative, and supportive as it works together towards common goal.
