Abia 2027: Pro-democracy Group throws weights behind Iroakazi Nwosu for Reps seat

Progressive Abia Youths for Good Governance, a pro-democracy group, has lauded Hon Ugona Iroakazi Nwosu’s sterling leadership qualities.

Progressive Abia Youths for Good Governance (PAYG),in a statement on Thursday, after its enlarged meeting held in Umuahia, the Abia State capital, lauded Hon Ugona Iroakazi Nwosu’s resilience and commitment to nation-building.

The statement by the socio-political organization was signed by the President, Surveyor Samuel Aguiyi, and the Secretary, Comrade Chinedu Emeruwa.

While noting that Hon Ugona Iroakazi Nwosu’s invaluable contributions towards deepening democracy in Nigeria cannot be overemphasized, Progressive Abia Youths for Good Governance (PAYG) also noted that the Umuahia Ibeku-born businessman has remained unwavering in his commitment towards socio-economic and infrastructural development of Abia State.

While describing Engr Ugonna Iroakazi as an authentic democrat, Progressive Abia Youths for Good Governance(PAYG), expressed confidence in the capacity of Ugona Iroakazi Nwosu in delivering effective representation when called upon to represent the good people of ikwuano/umuahia federal constituency at the house of representatives in 2027.

The group believed that Chief Ugona Iroakazi Nwosu if called upon to become next member of the green chamber of the national assembly, will initiate impactful bills and make laws that will engender youth empowerment and socio-economic and infrastructural development in ikwuano/umuahia federal constituency.

Progressive Abia Youths for Good Governance after extensive consultations and deliberations, therefore, welcomed the recent decision of Chief Ugona Iroakazi Nwosu to join the 2027 house of representatives race, maintaining that he is the best man to provide effective, efficient, and responsive representation to the people of ikwuano/umuahia federal constituency when elected into the national assembly.

Progressive Abia Youths for Good Governance (PAYG) pledged to rally maximum support and bulk votes for Chief Ugonna Iroakazi to emerge victorious in the coming main elections in 2027, urging the leadership of the APC to cede its ticket to Hon Ugona Iroakazi Nwosu.

The socio-political body described Hon Ugona Iroakazi Nwosu as a man of enormous capacities, and the best brain for the plum legislative job, Progressive Abia Youths for Good Governance (PAYG), and further urged every eligible Nigerian citizens to participate in the ongoing nationwide voters registration exercise by the Independent national electoral commission, so as to enable them exercise their franchise in next year’s general election in the country.

“The citizenry should ensure it register and collect their permanent voters cards (PVC), because, it is the only weapon and power vested on citizens by the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, to effect a change in government, and vote in credible people to mount leadership saddle in all levels in the country,”The group added.
