Emeka Bahadur lauds ohuhu traditional rulers on successful celebration of Iwa ji festival

Hon Emeka Bahadur Ndubuisi, former House of representatives aspirant from Abia state, has congratulated the ohuhu council of traditional rulers and people of ohuhu clan on the successful celebration of 2025 new yam festival otherwise known as Iwa ji ohuhu.

THE PURVEYOR reports that this year’s news yam festival drew sons and daughters of ohuhu clan within and outside the country, which took place at Afugiri Primary School in umuahia.

Prominent indigents of ohuhu clan were also honored for their commitment and supports to community developments.

In a statement on Friday, Hon Emeka Bahadur commended Ohuhu council of traditional rulers for preserving and promoting rich cultural heritage of ohuhu ancient clan.

He added that the annual event has fostered unity among people of ohuhu community and also served as a platform where indigenes gathers to chart wayforward for the development of ohuhu land.

Honorable Bahadur further used the medium to encourage sons and daughters of ohuhu clan in political leadership and private sector to sustain their collective supports towards socio-economic and infrastructural development of ohuhu community.
