Government will continue to improve on gains recorded in keeping Abia safe- Macdonald Ubah

Special Adviser on Security matters to the Governor of Abia State, Navy Commander MacDonald Ubah, Retd, has assured the commitment of Governor Alex Otti-led administration in keeping every parts of the state safe and secure.

Ubah who spoke during a media briefing with journalists shortly after the monthly security council meeting chaired by Governor Otti on Friday.

The council meeting appraised the security situation in the state.

Flanked by the Abia commissioner of Police, Danladi Isah, Ubah said the government is not resting on its oars, assuring that the present administration will continue to improve on the gains made in keeping the state safe.

The retired navy commander commended the security agencies for their positive efforts in curbing violent crimes in the state.

On his part, the State Commissioner of Police, Danladi Isah disclosed that the security agencies are on red alert to ensure that criminals on the run from the onslaught against them by neighbouring states cannot find any haven in Abia state.

He urged the citizens of the state to continue to volunteer useful information to security agencies whenever they observe suspicious movements around them.
