2027 Presidency: Only political fools take Tinubu for granted, Peter Obi can face him – Opposition chieftain, Ulasi

Dan Ulasi, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has said only a political fool will take President Bola Tinubu for granted.

Ulasi disclosed that Tinubu is strategic in his thinking, hence can’t be taken for granted.

Featuring on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, the PDP chieftain said only an astute-thinking politician like the former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, can defeat Tinubu.

Ulasi insisted that Obi has a track record that can’t be achieved overnight during his era as governor of Anambra State.

He said: “When you run a government for six years, what was spectacular in his six years? He was in PDP and I met him more than five times when he was president, I don’t want to discuss that, but there has to be something extraordinary you offer as a leader because leadership is all about results and not speech-making or creating enemies.

“You need to have a reference point; look at Peter Obi’s eight years of governorship, he translated education and health, this is an achievement you can’t see overnight.

“The person who is the president of Nigeria today is a strategically thinking person, and anybody who takes him for granted is a political fool. I’m one person who doesn’t take Tinubu for granted.

“You need an astute-thinking politician to face him and, to that point, Peter Obi becomes relevant because a lot of people in this country accept him.

“He is one politician that people have no accusing finger pointed towards him.”
