2027 Mbaitolu/Ikeduru federal constituency seat: Group throws weights behind Sunny Unachukwu

Pro-democracy group, Democratic Imo Youths for Good Governance(DIYG), has lauded the sterling leadership qualities of Barrister Sunny Unachukwu

In a statement issued on Tuesday after its enlarged meeting held in Owerri, the imo state, Democratic Youth for Good Governance (DIYG), in a statement on Tuesday, hailed Barrister Sunny Unachukwu’s resilience and commitment to nation-building.
The statement by the socio-political organization was signed by the President, Surveyor Samuel Nwosu and the Secretary, Comrade Chinedu Emeruwa.
While noting that Barrister Sunny Unachukwu’s invaluable contributions towards deepening democracy in Nigeria cannot be overemphasized, Democratic Imo Youths for Good Governance also noted that Barrister Sunny Unachukwu has remained unwavering in his commitment towards the welfare of the people.
While describing Barrister Sunny Unachukwu as a true democrat, Democratic Imo Youths for Good Governance(DIYG), expressed confidence in the capacity of Barrister Sunny Unachukwu to delivering effective representation when called upon to represent the good people of Mbaitolu/Ikeduru federal constituency at the green chamber of the national assembly in 2027.
The group believed that Barrister Sunny Unachukwu if supported to become next senator, he will initiate impactful bills and make laws that will engender youth empowerment and socio-economic and infrastructural development in Mbaitolu/Ikeduru federal constituency.
Democratic Imo Youths for Good Governance after extensive consultations and deliberations, therefore welcomed the decision of the Barrister Sunny Unachukwu to join the 2027 national assembly race, and adduced that he is the best man to provide effective, efficient, and responsive representation to the people of the Mbaitolu/Ikeduru federal constituency.
Democratic Imo Youths for Good Governance (DIYG) pledged to rally maximum support and bulk votes for the chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), , to emerge victorious in party primary election, and the main poll in 2027.
The youth rights advocacy body also used the medium to call on the leadership of the ADC in Imo state to cede its Mbaitolu/Ikeduru federal constituency seat ticket to Barrister Sunny Unachukwu, whom they described as a man of enormous capacities, and the best brain for the plum legislative job.
Democratic Imo Youths for Good Governance (DIYG) further urged every eligible Nigerian citizens to participate in the ongoing nationwide voters registration exercise by the Independent national electoral commission, so as to enable them exercise their franchise in next year’s general election in the country.
According to the organization, “The citizenry should ensure it register and collect their permanent voters cards (PVC), because, it is the only weapon and power vested on citizens by the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, to effect a change in government, and vote in credible people to mount leadership saddle in all levels in the country”.
