2027: Acquire Your Voter’s Card and Retire the Opposition– Prof Agbazuere

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Anthony Agbazuere, has urged the people of Ukwa La Ngwa in Abia State to take advantage of the ongoing voter registration exercise and obtain their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) in preparation for the 2027 elections.

Speaking at his Ikem Nvosi country home on Saturday, August 30, 2025, while hosting leaders of the APC from Ukwa La Ngwa extraction, the former Chief of Staff to the immediate past Governor of Abia State said the gathering was part of his effort to ensure that the ruling party restrategizes and builds momentum for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid, as well as for other party candidates in the next general elections.

Prof. Agbazuere expressed confidence that the Abia APC is well-positioned to win the governorship election in 2027, stressing that strategy and collaboration remain the essential tools for electoral success.

He commended President Tinubu for appointing sons of Ukwa La Ngwa into various federal ministries and parastatals, including Rt. Hon. Martins Azubuike, Barr. Chukwudi Nwala, and Hon. Obinna Oriaku, among others.

The meeting drew leaders of the APC from across the nine local government areas of Ukwa La Ngwa, as well as prominent sons and daughters of the region.

In his welcome address, the host local government party chairman, Nze Ngozi Nwoke, thanked Ukwa La Ngwa leaders for honouring Prof. Agbazuere’s invitation, describing him as a man of unique vision and qualities whose mission has a positive impact on the party’s growth and sustainability.

He praised Agbazuere for singlehandedly hosting the event.

Also speaking, the chairman of Ukwa La Ngwa APC, Hon. Chief Ebere Nwachukwu, who was warmly received at the event, commended the turnout and reassured party members of President Tinubu’s commitment to stabilizing the economy.

He noted that the federal government had rolled out measures to cushion the impact of fuel subsidy removal, including increased state allocations, soft loans for farmers, and a student loan scheme.

Some leaders who could not attend the meeting sent representatives, including Prince Paul Ikonne, Rt. Hon. Martins Azubuike, Hon. Chief Uzo Ihuka, Hon. Obinna Oriaku, Ezeji Sir Ephraim Nwokonneya, Hon. Lady Blessing Uwaoma Nwokonneya, and Dr. Brightman Onyendi, among others.

In their remarks, several leaders reaffirmed their massive support for President Tinubu’s re-election bid and pledged to work tirelessly with other APC candidates to ensure victory in 2027 through strategic collaboration.
