2027: Abia chieftain, Okoh tasks ADC exco members on grassroots mobilization, blasts APC-led government in Nigeria

By Chijindu Emeruwa

A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress(ADC), Chief Chidiebere Okoh, has tasked members of the party on unity of purpose and grassroots expansion of the party across Abia State.

Speaking during a meeting with Bende local Government Area and ward executive committee members of the ADC on Wednesday, Chief Okoh emphasized on the collective need for party members to embark on grassroots mobilization, aimed at advancing the party’s presence across the LGA and beyond.
Decrying the current economic quagmire, insecurity and other myriads of problems facing the country under the watch of the ruling All Progressives Congress-led administration in Nigeria, the former State House of assembly aspirant described ADC as the only alternative towards salvaging Nigerians from the clutches of APC misrule.
He regretted that the APC has in last ten years in present democratic leadership in Nigeria failed to work out implementable development -oriented policies in solving naria devaluation, food crisis, insecurity, and other fundamental challenges hindering the effort of the country to attain economic prosperity.
While earlier urging the Bende local government and ward executive committees of the ADC on collective resolve to expanding party’s grassroots base, Chief Chidiebere Okoh boasted that African Democratic Congress (ADC)has come to stay and will unlock Nigeria’s socio-economic and infrastructural greatness when it assume leadership in 2027.
The Abia stakeholder urged the ADC faithfuls to remain loyal and steadfast with their supports to the party, vowing that no amount of orchestrated propaganda will deter ADC from rescuing the people from misgovernance.
He further urged them to continue to support the Abia chairman of the ADC, Don Norman Obinna, in steering the ship of the party in the state.
His words: “Look at our economy. Our economy has been buried. So, you have a lot to say, to convince people to join ADC. Leadership is about people, is not about name. If people decide not to follow that name or nomenclature, that is the end. They will follow another nomenclature. And right now, people are going to follow ADC. But to achieve victory, we must do our work. In your house, you commit your wife, husband, children and other people in your compound to ADC. That is how the party will spread.
“Again, there is whole lot of media propaganda; that ADC has crashed. These are sponsored propaganda from pit of hell. You don’t expect them(ruling party) to relax. They would want to use propaganda to demoralize the people. Ignore those antics, it doesn’t matter”.
