PDP sets to inaugurate 2025 convention committee
The leadership of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party in Nigeria, has announced that it will inaugurate its 2025 National Convention Organising Committee (Main Committee) on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
According to a statement on Thursday signed by the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, the announcement was made following the approval of the party’s National Executive Committee.
The statement said the inauguration will take place at the party’s National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, in Abuja, at 12 noon.
The party noted that the 110-member committee will be chaired by Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, while Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, will serve as Vice Chairman. Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, has been named Secretary.
“The NWC charges all leaders, critical stakeholders and teeming members of the PDP to remain united, focused and continue to work together towards the success of the PDP 2025 Elective National Convention scheduled to hold in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital on Saturday, 15th to Sunday, 16th November, 2025,” the statement added.
